Samsung Nexus S - Samsung’s hardware combined with Android power
Samsung Nexus S is the next gen nexus device that was launched in Dec 2010. After almost nine months of its release, the handset continues to do well in the market. It was launched with a lot of latest features and that has helped the handset to remain updated even after so many months of the launch. To begin with, this was the first phone launched in the market that came with Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) version of Google’s Operating System. An upgrade from 2.2 (Froyo) versions, the latest Android OS works fabulously fast. Even after nine months of the release, Gingerbread is still the latest Android OS in the market and is the most preferred choice of all Android smartphones.
The Google released this phone with Samsung and thus the device comes with an impressive hardware that Samsung phones are known for. With good dimensions, Samsung Nexus S is quite light weight as well. The 4.0 inch screen of the device uses the Super Amoled capacitive technology and provides a glittering display. Other things about the phone that impresses the users are the 5 mega pixel camera that provides excellent photographs, 16 GB of internal storage space, 1 GHz ARM Cortex-A8 processor and a long battery life.
Overall, the device is more like the Samsung Galaxy S in terms of hardware and looks. But when it comes to the software, it has a much improved 2.3 (Gingerbread) that make the device really fast and a pleasure to use. Also, the company has not made any changes to the OS and the Android is present in its authentic form.
